Same Jesus. Same grace. Same sermon. Now gathering just across the water in Starbase.
Starbase is a place full of people who do hard things for a living. They build rockets, solve impossible problems, and work long hours chasing the edge of what is possible. It is an amazing community. It can also be a tired one, and a lot of folks out there are a long way from home.
We believe the best news anyone at Starbase could hear is that the most important thing has already been done. You do not have to engineer your way up to God. He came down to us in Jesus, finished the work at the cross, and now offers His life freely to anyone who will receive it. No launch sequence required.
The God who named every star knows every person at Starbase by name too. So we are bringing a gathering to them.
Starbase Church is not a separate church with a different message. It is a new group of believers, connected with OneTwo Church through a shared pastor and a shared sermon. Two locations, one family, one message of grace.
Each week the group shares Pastor Shawn's teaching from OneTwo Church, verse by verse through the Bible.
Real people from the Starbase community gathering together to pray, talk, and encourage one another.
We teach the New Covenant: you are forgiven, you are accepted, and Christ lives in you. Rest is the starting point, not the reward.
If you work at SpaceX, you know the pace. Long shifts, test campaigns, scrubs, late nights, and the kind of pressure where everything has to be right. Many of you moved here from somewhere else for the mission, and some of you left family, friends, and a home church behind to do it.
And if you are the spouse or kid of someone on that schedule, you carry a lot of it too. New town, new school, a calendar that changes with the launch window, and sometimes it feels like you are holding the home together on your own.
Starbase Church is a place to land. Bring the whole family. Bring the coworker who just transferred in. Come in your work gear, come straight from the beach, come with questions. You will find people who understand the life you are living, and a message that does not add one more thing to your checklist.
Out here, everything depends on performance. With Jesus, it does not. He already accomplished the mission, and in Him you are fully accepted, fully loved, and fully forgiven. Your worth is not measured by your last test result. That is the kind of rest a hardworking community needs.
Want to help this outreach grow, host a gathering, or just ask a question? We would love to hear from you.
